Regional Airport at Bush Field owned by Augusta-Richmond County:
- Serves
as the airport that receives and dispatches commercial air carrier
flights, and as such, is a community gateway;
- Works
cooperatively with our Armed Forces to move troops and material
by military and charter aircraft;
- Conducts
air cargo and charter operations;
- Acts
as a commercial and military pilot training exercise air field;
- Facilitates
and supports the growth of related industry to strengthen the
economic base located at the airport.
It
is the highest goal of the Augusta Regional Airport to exceed customer's
expectations by providing customer service in a safe, secure, and

and user-friendly service found in the aviation industry.

Each
of the ten Augusta-Richmond County Commissioners appoints members
to four-year terms. Therefore, Augusta Aviation Commission terms
of service correspond with the terms of office held by their sponsoring
Augusta-Richmond County Commissioner. Additionally, two Augusta
Aviation Commissioners are appointed by the Georgia Legislative
Delegation with a term of service to be defined by the delegation.
